Pack: 60 tablets (2,5 mg/tab)
Brand: Balkan Pharmaceuticals
Letrosol from Balkan Pharmaceuticals – is a non-steroidal selective third generation aromatase inhibitor.
In terms of structure and activity, this drug is similar to Arimidex (Anastrazol), and is prescribed according to the same indications.
In particular, letrosol is recommended in the treatment of postmenopausal syndrome with estrogen receptor-positive or estrogen receptor-unknown breast cancer.
It is commonly used as a second-line choice drug after a failed estrogen receptor antagonist therapy by Tamoxifen, although, depending on the circumstances, it may also be selected as a first-line drug.
Male bodybuilders and other athletes have found their own benefit in the use of letrosol, due to its ability to mitigate/eliminate estrogenic side effects associated with the intake of flavoring anabolic-androgenic steroids such as: gynecomastia, fat layer augmentation, fluid delay, etc.
Letrozole is one of the latest achievements in the fight against directed inhibition of aromatase.
At the moment it is the most powerful drug lowering the level of estrogens in the blood, it has a significantly stronger influence compared to such non-selective aromatase inhibitors as Teslak and Citadren.
The dosage of each Femar tablet is 2.5 mg, and according to the description of the product, this drug was able to reduce estrogen levels by 78% in clinical trials. The drug, however, appears to often remain very effective in lower dosages as well.
The insert sheet inside the package informs us that, as well as in clinical studies, doses of 0.1mg and 0.5mg resulted in a 75% and 78% decrease in estrogen levels, respectively, in many patients.
However, it is the recommended dose that achieves the desired effect in all patients. But in any case, a huge number of people are just as good at using lower dosages.
